Job Title:Fabricator (Elmwood Park, NJ)

Job Summary: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Read and understand work instructions and technical documents
  • Work independently with minimal guidance
  • Use precision measuring tools to measure within .001” (caliper/micrometer)
  • Inspect components received prior to performing work
  • Adjust, bend and round metal tubes to assembly fixtures (jigs) without damaging workpiece
  • Forms and shapes sheet metal using various hand tools
  • Cuts and trims workpiece to fit within required fixture dimensions
  • Test fit components to workpiece

Job Title:Custodian – Maintenance (Elmwood Park, NJ)

Job Summary: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Primary Objectives: To carry out works required to repair, maintain and improve the buildings and facilities within the designated areas in order to ensure employees’ safety and comply with environmental regulations. Perform job duties related to PVSC, OSHA, EPA and other state, federal and company safety and environmental programs.

Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor (Elmwood Park , NJ)

Primary Objectives: Position is responsible for delivery and quality performance of designated product. These responsibilities extend throughout the entire process (from cradle to grave).  Position provides leadership to cell or department members and is accountable for both the performance and the behaviors of these employees. Responsibility includes supervision of cell or department members including allocation of man hours, employee safety, vacation approvals and overtime approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate to cell or department members
  • Adequately report cell or department performance, problems and solutions to peers and management
  • Produce parts to meet master production schedule requirements – takt time
  • Balance workload across cell employees to achieve optimum productivity
  • Ensure cell employees adhere to company policies (e.g. following operating instructions, following standard work, completing preventative maintenance)
  • Assure team work space is organized, cleaned and meets shop floor appearance guidelines

Welder (Elmwood Park, NJ)

  • Job Title: Welder

 

  •  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.
    • Must be able to read and follow operating instructions provided.
    • Follows all quality and safety protocols
    • Wear proper safety equipment
    • Cleans surfaces to be welded with wire brush, carbide grinder and/or alcohol
    • Positions parts in jigs or fixtures and tack welds assembly together
    • Select torch, torch tip, and filler wire according to operation instruction or work router
    • Assemble argon hoses and plugs to achieve proper purge
    • Perform minor preventative maintenance on welding equipment (e.g. set gaps, dusting)
    • TIG weld assemblies in the 1G or 3G position on sheet thickness up to .050” and a diameter of ¼” to 3” tube
    • Inspect weld height, width, color and imperfections per operation instruction requirements
    • Use borescope to inspect inside diameter welds for proper drop though, width, color and imperfections
    • Fill out documentation per company requirements
    • Works with a team of fabricators and/or welders to achieve production requirements
    • Assists other team members with various functions other than manual welding to assist in achieving team requirements
    • Performs weld repair including grinding, filling imperfections and building up metal parts

Job Title: Manual Machinist

  • Work within a production cell and produce parts to feed other cell members
  • Required to read instructions and retrieve proper tooling to complete job
  • Trim parts using milling machine and deburr using hand tools, rotary tools and buffing wheel
  • Measure parts to check length using calipers
  • After the completion of the machining process, machinists then move the pieces to the next phase in the manufacturing process
  • Light assembly work required
  • Must keep work station organized and orderly, and make sure that production parts, tools, test equipment and documentation are properly stored and maintained
  • Must follow the targets and deadlines set for machining, such as a particular number of units in a day

  • Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece

  • Assists machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces
  • Rivets and spot welds workpiece
