APU (Auxiliary Power Unit)

Tube Assemblies are needed on every aircraft within the APU to provide power when not in flight for the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Built by United Flexible, these tubes protect wiring, carry fluids, deliver air under pressure, or exhaust air. Manufactured using high temperature and strength alloys of Inconel and titanium, we provide NADCAP accredited brazed and welded assemblies up to 3.00” diameter.

Fuel Manifolds

United Flexible manufactures multi-port fuel manifolds for diffuser case primary and afterburner fuel delivery systems. Our commercial and military experience spans the use of various high strength / high temperature alloys; from Stainless steel to high temp nickel to titanium. Engine Bleed Air Ducts

Bleed Air Ducting configurations can bring challenges to the tube fabricating process. Transferring high pressure / high temperature air on engine or within the EBU system requires expertise in forming and bending high temp alloys. With United Flexible’s state-of-the-art hydroforming and laser machining processes we can connect your conveyance lines with complex sheet metal configurations. Hydraulic Actuation Lines

Hydraulic tube assemblies are a critical part of the actuation systems throughout an aircraft. The Thrust Reverser Actuation System within the nacelle of the engine has one of the most complex network of hydraulic lines. Working with and fabricating these small diameter, high pressure and thin wall tubes into a bending scheme with critical joining requires the expertise that United Flexible has acquired over years of service to their customers. Many of the applications require mechanical joining where qualification and performance testing are paramount.

Fire Suppression

The Fire suppression system within an aircraft requires a fire detection and monitoring system. The engine compartment (nacelle) houses a thermal sensor monitoring system that uses a network of tube assemblies clamping fasteners for mounting on the inner walls of the nacelle. United Flexible has the experience in CNC bending, joining, and sensor wire clamping that you require for this critical application.

EBU Ducts

Bleed Air Ducting configurations can bring challenges the tube fabricating process. Transferring high pressure / high temperature air from engine to airframe starts within the nacelle system. Nacelle Anti-Ice

These tube assemblies are a critical component designed to keep ice from building up on the engine intakes. United Flexible fabricates these tube assemblies, in close tolerance, to deliver hot air flow to the engine nacelle, this hot bleed air keeps the surface temperature of the engine inlets above freezing temperature ensuring the nacelle’s performance.
