Our composite hose can handle hydrocarbon, chemical and cryogenic fluids: utilizing multiple tight-wound component layers that create a very long and complex course for fluids. The unique manufacturing process assures the proper gauge and pitch of the inner and outer wires at all times. Our composite hose is rated for both positive pressure and full vacuum, it will not kink with ease of daily handling it will provide excellent service life and performance.

All of our mandrel manufactured composite hoses are built with many multiple wraps of both polar and non-polar thermoplastic films that contain the fluids and vapors inside the hose wall. The barrier layer in all our standard oil and chemical hoses prevents permeation by both polar fluids (like methanol) and non-polar liquids (like gasoline) from escaping the hose. The hose wall is then reinforced with bulk woven fabrics that help protect the films in the hose wall from mechanical damage. This provides you a composite hose with superb structure and heavy duty cover layers that do not deteriorate due to ozone, UV, oil or chemical attack; that maintains maximum strength, flexibility and durability.

Assemblies are also available with specified electrical resistance, semi-conductive or non-conductive properties. But the vast majority of hose assemblies are electrically conductive and an ohm reading of less than 10 ohms.

Polypropylene lined composite hose with polypropylene coated steel inner wire, and galvanized steel outer wire. Engineered with 100% chemical resistant barrier layers embedded in the hose wall to prevent permeation and leakage. Available in sizes from 1” to 4” diameter, hose assemblies are conductive and capable of full vacuum. A diverse selection of end fittings are available for various applications. Working pressures of up to 200 psi (14 bar), and working temperatures up to 100 degrees C (212 F).

Hose assemblies are capable of pressurization and full vacuum with a diverse selection of end fittings and materials where chemical attack or erosion of the outer wire might require the option of a stainless steel outer wire. UF Oilmaster® GGB901 Small Diameter Petroleum Hose

Polypropylene lined hose with galvanized steel inner and outer wires designed specifically for Bottom Loading applications where a high degree of reliability is required with media charged into the hose 24/7. When calculating the length it is important to note if length is either pressurized (“wet”) or empty (“dry”) as the effect of elongation must be calculated in order to produce the correctly manufactured length. Hose is full conductive, typically less than 10 ohms. All hose assemblies are pressured tested 100% to 1-1/2 times MAWP and are available with steel or aluminum TTMA flanges, fixed or floating, elbows, threaded connections or couplers. Working pressures of up to 250 psi (17 bar) with conformance to EN 13765:2010 and working temperatures of up to 100 degrees C (212 F).

Hose assemblies are capable of pressurization and full vacuum with threaded or flanged end connections for the arduous marine service conditions. Bore sizes 4” (100mm), 6” (150mm) and 8” (200mm) are certified as complying with The IMO Gas Carrier Code (Type Approval temperatures to minus 50C (-58F) and pressures to 10 bar (150psi) and USCG regulations 33 CFR Section 127.1102. Insul-Flange Insulated Spool Flange

A cast-nylon insulating flange for use on marine docks and terminals. If the piping system of a marine terminal is electrically conductive, an electrical charge ows along the piping because of dock/pier-side cathodic protection systems. The Insul-Flange prevents the heavy electrical ow in the piping system and eliminates the risk of an arc when the hose is disconnected. Resistant to most common solvents, lubricants, hydrocarbons, esters, key tones and aqueous solutions. For more severe chemical service, PTFE lining is an option. Provides greater electrical resistance than regular insulating gasket kits and eliminates the need for separate bonding wire.

UF Composite Hose Couplings, Adapters and Accessories

Fittings are designed assure 100% performance by each hose up to rated burst pressure: available in carbon steel, stainless steel (T316 and T304), brass, aluminum, Hastelloy C-276, polypropylene and kynar. Double start threads, scrolls or serrations engage the inner wire and ensure positive location of the outer wire after swaging: assuring that the hose is permanently engaged and sealed to the fitting. Precise machining assures maintenance of hose film pack and wire integrity for a leakproof connection. Full range of slings are warehoused and recommended for support in heavy dock and barge service. Scuff guards recommended to protect hose from excessive abrasion; available in 60-ft (18 meter) coils that can be cut, banded and clamped to hose.
